Dan Tripp - Club Administrator/Youth Coach

Dan has been actively involved with sports his entire life as an athlete, coach and administrator. During this time he ran a small youth sports instructional company focused on preschool and youth classes in a variety sports. Currently serving as the Manager of Athletics for a local park district, he has the opportunity to help provide both recreational and competitive experiences to hundreds of children every season.

In volleyball, he has been active on the club side of the sport since 2018 at two other clubs serving as head coach for boys and/or girls teams at the 12's, 13's and 14's level as well as being the Co-Director of Junior High Boys. Although only playing recreationally in college and as an adult, he has learned the game in a fundamental way that allows him to teach younger players the basics so they can be successful as they move on to older and higher level teams.

The T4 Volleyball Club philosophy of Training, Tenacity, Teamwork and Together are what led him to create a club where all players can thrive and improve no matter what level they play. Coach Dan's goal is to help players learn life and volleyball skills, while learning to love a great game!

"Every day is day one. You can always get better!"

Eric Tripp - Club Director

Eric has immersed himself in the world of volleyball for the past 14 years, beginning while growing up in the Carol Stream/Hanover Park area and while attending Stratford Middle School. A three-year varsity starter at Glenbard North High School, Eric honed his skills further through club volleyball with the Cyclones and Hitmen Volleyball Clubs, ending with a 5th place finish with Hitmen's 18s team.

Following high school, Eric continued his volleyball career at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa, before transitioning to coaching. Currently competing as a libero in the VLA semi-professional league, Eric brings a wealth of playing experience across various positions, from setter to libero/outside hitter.

Kevin Messer - Coach

Kevin is excited to get back into the coaching arena after playing volleyball for 15 years and counting. He played the sport through high school at John Hersey High School and 4 years of Division III volleyball at North Central College where he was one of the founding members of the NCAA program there. Currently, Kevin competes in the semi-professional VLA league. While playing mostly as an Outside Hitter and Libero, he has trained in almost all the positions over the years. Throughout high school and college I have coached youth training camps as well as coached as the Graduate Assistant for North Central College in the spring of 2020.

Important coaching philosophies he has carried over the years revolve around communication, accountability and brotherhood/sisterhood. Volleyball is a team sport in the truest sense. Not one player can succeed without the others. T4’s core beliefs, Training, Tenacity, Teamwork and Togetherness, align with all of the philosophies he has carried with him as a player, coach and person. Kevin is excited to pass on what he has learned to young athletes looking to improve their skills and develop lifelong lessons and friendships.
